The colder months can sometimes be filled with gloomy weather and mornings that make you question whether you’ve woken up too early.

The colder season is one of the best times to enjoy a Starling murmuration, as they gather in their hundreds, sometimes even thousands, to swirl, swoop and soar through the skies.
To see their spectacular aerial performances, head to large roost sites like reedbeds, piers, and coastal marshes, either at dawn or dusk. And maybe bring a hot flask of tea to keep you warm ☕️
