After playing just one game since his call up, Brennan Othmann has now been sent back down to the #AHL. In a corresponding move, #NewYork has called up Jaroslav Chmelar.

Othmann, 22, has played in 26 #NHL games but has just two assists in that time span and has yet to score his first career goal. His name has also been in trade rumors for the past few weeks with the #Rangers reportedly wanting “good AHL prospects” for Othmann.

On the flip side, Chmelar, 22, has five points in nine games with Hartford this season and has yet to play a game in the NHL. 

Is this the last straw for Othmann with the #NewYorkRangers? Could Chmelar make his debut as soon as Tuesday?
