Winter hikingšŸ“ColoradošŸ„¾ā„ļø Gear recommendations for hiking in the winter: šŸ”—Link in bio to my favorites 1. Microspikes- I recommend the metal ones from kahtoola as they are durable and last longer. Admittedly when I first started I bought the cheaper ones and they only lasted 1 year 2. Boots versus trail shoes- I almost always wear trail shoes unless the snow is going to be very deep or it will be muddy/wet where I want waterproof shoes. 3. Layers- always bring layers and a day pack if you need to shed some. Believe it or not, once you get moving and the sun is out you may get too hot. Layers I always have are beanie, coat, base layers, and sometimes gloves depending on the temperature 4. Sunscreen & sunglasses- it’s so sunny here and even in winter, especially with snow you can get a sunburn 5. Many others including but not limited to- snacks, water, etc What else do you want to know about visiting Colorado in the winter? #colorado #coloradohikes #hiking #winterhiking
