Have never been so nervous 🙈🏃♀️
The Pikes Peak Ascent is this weekend and it will be my first time running it!
Here’s everything I’m packing for this trail race:
- salomonrunning vest (lightweight, many pockets, easy to drink from water bottles, stretchy and holds everything)
- garmin to track and of course post to strava
- tailwindnutrition for hydration, endurance fuel and my favorite birthday cake recovery
- honeystinger and skratchlabs for some fuel
- saltstick I take every 30 minutes to prevent cramping, has helped so much
- brooksrunning shorts, shirts, fleece and trail shoes
- karitraa hat to protect from the sun for hours out there 😅
- sunscreen is so necessary especially when going up in altitude sunbum
- new favorite balega_international socks
I will also have some other snacks/hydration at the aid stations and wear some additional layers before/after the race as it will be a low of 25 and high of 60 🥶
