Anthony Geary, best known for playing Luke Spencer on #GeneralHospital, died Dec. 14 at the age of 78. According to TV Insider, the soap opera star passed following complications from an operation three days prior. “It was a shock for me and our families and our friends," Geary’s husband, Claudio Gama, told the outlet in a statement. "For more than 30 years, Tony has been my friend, my companion, my husband.”⁠ ⁠ Anthony originated the role of Luke Spencer on ‘General Hospital’ in 1978, in what was supposed to be a 13-week stint. Instead, Anthony’s character, alongside co-star Genie Francis’s Laura, would go on to become daytime's biggest supercouple.
