#NewYork City after allegedly punching a nightclub employee during a closing-time dispute and facing a separate mischief charge from the same night.
Prosecutors claim a club worker informed Songz the venue was closing, which allegedly caused him to become “needlessly irate” before the altercation took place. Songz appeared in Manhattan criminal court on Sunday, where he was arraigned on an assault charge related to the nightclub incident. He is also facing a separate charge of second-degree criminal mischief stemming from another incident earlier that morning.
In that case, prosecutors claim Songz caused more than $1,500 in damage at Mira Restaurant in Kips Bay. A manager at the restaurant reportedly told police he witnessed the singer break multiple items, including hookahs, DJ equipment, and sofas.
