Congratulations to the scholars in the Prison Scholars Program on completing the fall semester! The celebration included remarks from faculty and students, as well as Georgetown alum and Ward 7 Councilmember Wendell Felder. Students in the pilot “In Your Shoes” course performed a play they worked on all semester. Their efforts culminated in a collaborative performance drawing on their own experiences and insights, which earned a standing ovation during the celebration. Offered in partnership with Georgetown’s Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics, the course uses performance as a tool to build trust, empathy and deep listening.
