Clark Atlanta University students are stepping up to help save Black mothers’ lives. A new yearlong Reproductive Justice Ambassador Program is training young Black women to become the next generation of policy changemakers.
📍The initiative launched by SisterSong sistersong_woc and the W.E.B. Du Bois Southern Center for Studies in Public Policy, focuses on tackling Georgia’s severe maternal mortality crisis, where Black women are twice as likely to die from pregnancy-related causes.
The cohort of 13 students meets bi-monthly to learn about reproductive health, policy advocacy, and community care.
