Sunshine, salt air, and unforgettable moments on the water 🎣☀️ Earlier this month, military families from across South Florida gathered at NOAA’s Eco-Discovery Center in Key West for an afternoon of learning and fishing at FloridaKeysNMS. After meeting sanctuary leaders and learning about local fish species and how sanctuary protections keep these waters healthy, families headed offshore on a private charter to put their knowledge into action. This outing marked the final event in our five-part fishing series in partnership with NOAASanctuaries, MarineSanctuaryFdn, and NOAAFisheries, engaging more than 100 military family participants this year across sanctuaries nationwide.
