The District will welcome three new businesses into downtown Columbia. Birdie’s Deli, Clementine’s Ice Cream and Sweets-N-Things all plan to debut their shops in early 2026. Chelsea Jernigan, founder of Birdie’s Deli, said she is eager to open up their store. “Having regulars, having really personal interactions with people and being able to watch their family grow throughout the years as our family grows is a really, really beautiful symbiotic relationship that restaurants offer,” Jernigan said.
