At its heart is a JCW-tuned 2.0-liter TwinPower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces around 228 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, giving the car brisk acceleration and plenty of punch out of corners — the claimed 0-60 mph sprint is about 6.2 seconds with the convertible roof deployed. 
Power is sent to the front wheels through a 7-speed Sport Dual-Clutch automatic transmission with steering-wheel paddle shifters that help keep the fun going through twisty roads like the Tail of the Dragon.
