Holiday House Games!  The second edition of our CHS House Games was held on Wednesday, with competitions in Christmas Trivia, jigsaw puzzles, swimming, Nitroball, basketball knockout and box stacking.  It was Jogues House and Campion House tied for first overall for Wednesday’s events as Jogues won the swim meet and Campion claimed Christmas Trivia. Arrupe won Nitroball, Loyola owned puzzles, Gonzaga took box stacking and Xavier won in hoops.  In the pioneering CHS House System, all students are members of one of six houses – each named after prominent Jesuit: St. Ignatius Loyola, St. Isaac Jogues, St. Aloysius Gonzaga, Pedro Arrupe, St. Edmund Campion and St. Francis Xavier – with competition, brotherhood and camaraderie of each house carrying through students’ four years.   The House System builds an additional infrastructure of smaller communities within our larger school community.
