The 159th Founder’s Week, a multi-day celebration honoring the institution’s legacy while marking a new chapter in its history, will take place from Tuesday, February 10, 2026, through Sunday, February 15, 2026. The week will feature the inauguration of Dr. F. DuBois Bowman ’92 as the College’s 13th president, alongside the 38th Annual “A Candle in the Dark” Gala & Inaugural Ball, presented by The JME Group.⁠ ⁠ Founder’s Week will also recognize the 2026 Bennie Award honorees— James L. Hudson ’61, Willie Woods ’85, and Willie Underwood III ’88— and Candle Award honorees Eric G. Johnson, Dr. Robert L.
