The family of Matilda, who was gunned down in the Bondi attack, aged just 10, have wept as they addressed a large crowd at a memorial. Her father Michael told the crowd she was a 'beautiful person' as he held a framed photo of her. 'Her name was Matilda because she was our first Australian,' he said.
