USC Upstate is proud to celebrate 17 consecutive years as a Tree Campus USA! 🌿 At this year’s Arbor Day observance, naturalist Josh Arrants joined campus leaders to spotlight why native plants, biodiversity and intentional green spaces matter — not just for the environment, but for student well-being. 💚 With more than 3,300 trees across campus, including 100+ in the Food Forest, Upstate continues its long-standing commitment to sustainable forest management. 🌲 As Director of Building and Landscape Services Bruce Suddeth shared, “This designation is a reminder of our dedication to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of our campus while promoting a healthy and vibrant environment for our students, faculty and staff.” 🪴 Strengthening our canopy.
