✈️ Spartans on the Scene! On Wednesday, Oct. 1, six USC Upstate students joined faculty members Dr. Wren Bareiss, Dr. David Wallace and Allison Lane for a unique, real-world learning experience at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (gspairport). Participating in GSP’s emergency drill and mock press briefing, students stepped into the role of reporters—asking questions, meeting deadlines and experiencing the fast pace of a live media event. Hosted every three years, the exercise gives future communicators an inside look at crisis response and public relations in action. GSP’s PR and communications team also shared valuable insights about building a career in the field.
