🎓 Celebrating May 2025 Graduates 🎓 🕵️‍♀️ Meet Kaylee Basto, a criminal justice major from Chassell, Michigan! As a working mom of two, Kaylee valued the flexibility of her online program, which allowed her to balance coursework with work and family life. “I’ve always wanted to be in the criminal justice field, but I never took the leap of faith towards it,” she says. “In 2023, I decided to push myself and achieve my goal.” Kaylee is proud to have maintained her GPA while making both the dean’s and chancellor’s list during her time at Upstate. She credits associate professor Courtney McDonald as a key influence—someone who not only ensured students understood the material, but also created a welcoming, supportive learning environment.
