Multiple fire departments have contained a blaze that damaged several storefronts on Main Street in Sayville. At 5:39 p.m. the Sayville Fire Department responded to calls of a blaze on Main Street, a spokesperson from the Suffolk County Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services said. The blaze appeared to damage multiple adjacent storefronts from The Crushed Olive to Hammer and Stain Long Island, witnesses said. “I smelled smoke before the firefighters came, I could smell it in my store,” said James Santana, the manager of Androids Amazing Comics, around the corner from the fire.
