Lucha libre legend Adolfo Tapia (the original La Parka) took to social media today to thank WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson for his support during the late 1990s. Tapia revealed that Anderson was one of the few figures in management who protected Mexican talent during a turbulent time in World Championship Wrestling.
Tapia wrote: "I want to send greetings to Mr. Arn Anderson because during my time at WCW he was one of the people who looked after us and defended us against all the racism that existed there. I will always be grateful to the great Mr. Arn Anderson.. I send him many blessings from the la park."
WCW has long faced allegations regarding the treatment of international talent during the Monday Night War era, with figures like Konnan and Eddie Guerrero previously speaking out about the difficulties Latino wrestlers faced in the company.
