Just last year, our familia started a new tradition: our Office Tamalada! If you’re unfamiliar (or so familiar you’re drooling just thinking about it), a tamalada is a gathering where loved ones make batches of tamales together. At ours, we assigned every person a specific task in the assembly line of tamal making—spreading masa, scooping the filling, closing each tamal, and then placing them in the correct pot to cook until perfectly soft and delicious. Tamales are a beloved holiday tradition, so it warms our hearts to come together and make them as a familia. ❤️ We had a blast making four different varieties of tamales for our team to enjoy at this week’s Friday lunch.
