The Survivor Tree, a Callery pear tree, is distinct from the other trees on campus. Discovered in the wreckage after 9/11, the tree indicated a sign of life with its leaves still intact. After years of careful tending, the Survivor Tree stands tall beside the 9/11 Memorial and Museum (911memorial) today.
