Ascent Property Company in #Arizona plans to replace The Rock, where Peep’s last 2017 performance was, with a five-story residential complex. Eight years ago, Peep overdosed and died at 21 outside his tour bus before a show. Fans still visit the memorial outside The Rock. Lil Peep’s mother, #LizaWomack, launched a Change.org petition to stop The Rock’s closure, gaining over 13,000 signatures since Nov. 28. “The Rock, a beloved music venue in Tucson, holds a special place in not just the city’s music history, but also in my heart,” Womack writes in the petition. “Tragically, my son was set to play at The Rock when he passed away on his tour bus right outside in 2017.
