44 miles into the bike portion of the Ironman 70.3 in Haines City, I was forced to retire from the race due to a tire sidewall failure… But in the process, it taught me something very valuable: Sometimes the greatest gift in life is not the destination, but the journey in which we took to get there. These last 125 days have pushed me to my limits and I’ve been extremely blessed to have met so many awesome people in the process. Grateful doesn’t even begin to explain it.
