The suspect in last weekend’s mass shooting at Brown University has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and investigators are confident he was also responsible for the killing of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor two days later, authorities said on Thursday.⁣ Officials identified the gunman as Claudio Neves Valente, a 48-year-old Portuguese national.
