Today we’re throwing it back...well...a lot...celebrating a full-circle moment with someone woven into the fabric of DJDS history: Debbie Vicksman. One of our very first kindergarten teachers, she helped launch the school’s earliest learners—including our own assistant principal in the lower division, Jodie Applebaum, whose kindergarten days with Debbie remain a treasured memory. All these years later, Debbie, or Mrs. Vicksman, as some of her students might remember, is back on campus as our Scholastic rep, and we couldn’t resist sharing this photo of her surrounded by former students from across the years, all of whom now have their own children at our school. The smiles say everything—relationships here last a lifetime.
