This week's 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: Ryan Poche - Last year, Ryan was able to experience two international trips! During the Thanksgiving holiday, Ryan traveled solo to Qatar to see two World Cup soccer matches — South Korea v. Uruguay in Education City Stadium (second photo) and Brazil v. Serbia in Lusail Stadium (third photo - which hosted the World Cup final). He felt very safe, despite being alone so far from the U.S. Ryan said, "It was a super cool experience as the people in the country were incredibly welcoming." During winter break, he traveled alone to England to attend soccer matches. He wanted to experience a winter sports season in England because he aspires to work there one day. He also participated in the FSU International Program for Sport Management over the summer with Dr. Flanagan and Dr. Newman and enjoyed it thoroughly.
