At the final Isabella County Board of Commissioners meeting of the year, the board extended the existing contract for the county's medical examiner services and planned future services. The board approved a 1-year contract with Edward W. Sparrow Hospital Services, effective Jan. 1, 2026.⁠ ⁠ The county also decided to go with a three-year extension of its contract with the University of Michigan Health for its medical examiner services.
