Luis Robert Jr. is once again on the Mets radar as trade talks are reportedly underway. The 28-year-old outfielder is back in trade talks with the White Sox actively seeking a trade partner. In 2025, Robert struggled offensively, hitting .223/.297/.364 across 110 games. Robert Jr.’s value has sinked over the last few years. Between the lack of production and injury-riddled seasons, he’s been unable to replicate the best season of his career in 2023. Chicago exercised Robert Jr.’s $20 million option earlier this offseason, but the club now appears motivated to move its center fielder. It should come as no surprise the Mets are targeting Robert Jr. They explored a deal for Robert Jr at the 2025 trade deadline, though Chicago’s asking price proved too steep at the time. With the White Sox having added Japanese star Munetaka Murakami earlier today, the Sox may now be more inclined to deal Robert Jr. #Mets #LFGM #LuisRobertJr
