We often demonstrate a lot of printing in our print shop exhibit at the Sacramento History Museum, but not many people get to see the cleaning process. In this video, Jared shows the full cleaning process sped up a bit because the full video is almost 8 minutes long. We use 1K kerosene as a solvent to clean the ink off of our 10x15 Chandler & Price Gordon-style jobbing press. This was after a press run where we letterpress printed 300 copies for our 2025 museum holiday card with a mix of red and black rubber base ink.
