On Heron Island for 'Circle of Life', Tom spent over three years documenting turtle hatchlings on the southern Great Barrier Reef. Capturing fleeting moments of hatchlings racing to the sea meant carrying heavy gear across sandy beaches and adapting to nests erupting hundreds of meters away, all while working in rapidly changing light. For 'All The Sharks', he had to move fast, adapting to the behavior of new shark species each week while capturing essential underwater sequences.
