❤️Being a grandparent is a great gift and one of the joys of getting older. However, it is vastly different from being a parent and that’s not a bad thing. As Grandparents, we have the wisdom of many years of living and are the torch bearers of tradition in the family. Grandparents are the story tellers of the family weaving the past with the future together instilled with the faith that future generations we will never see will be influenced because we were grandparents in the lineage of the family. We are there to offer support and not discipline. This means sometimes having to keep our mouths shut and bite our tongues. As a Grandma I try to express my love and devotion to my nine grandchildren by being there for them, lending an attentive ear and a supportive heart, assuring them that no matter what, they are greatly loved and are a great blessing to the family.
