It is that time of year again. Time to winterize your home - inside and out. I know we all think of winterizing as things we just need to do every year. But I think we forget the huge savings that come with properly winterizing your home. Sort of the “why” behind that weekend to-do list. Here are my (and Mr Babs) top 5 winterizing steps. I don’t know about you…but I AM looking forward to cozy nights around the fire. Just as soon as my winterizing list is checked off;)
❄️1 Change that Furnace Filter. All that gunk can really block the airflow after time and make your system work way harder costing you efficiency and money! Also, if you don’t change the filter, you can put so much overwork on the system to get around clogged air ducts that the entire system can fail, costing you $4,000-$12,000 to replace. Check your manual for specific timing but you should change your filter at least every 90 days.
