How many gardeners do we have here? Raise your spade ☺️🙋🏻‍♀️! I come from a family of farmers. My great grandparents were farmers in Italy. My grandmother inherited their green thumb. She had a garden that was the size of a mini farm filled with bumper crops of the vegetables she used most often in her cooking. She would start her tomato plants from seed on Ash Wednesday every year. I remember all of the egg cartons in her kitchen filled with soil where she carefully planted the seeds saved from her priced tomatoes from the previous season. Her gardening shoes were an old pair of slip ons she used for several seasons. I’m not even sure she used gardening gloves.
