Today I had a procedure to make sure my JPouch was working ok. Being back in that hospital gown brought back so many emotions of this past year- having my colon removed after suffering with Ulcerative colitis for 8yrs, 3 surgeries, and wearing an Ostomy bag for 9 months. Although its not always perfect, I smile because I am able to live again and no bump in the road will ever compare to how bad it was before.
