More about the situation: Noodle has always been a high-anxiety dog; before we got her, around 8 weeks, she suffered a serious accident and nearly died. 😔 We’re not sure whether this played a role in her eventual IVDD diagnosis, but nearly every vet we’ve ever seen has told us that the incident is—in part, at least—likely responsible for her nervous temperament. After rushing Noodle to the vet on Friday, she was prescribed prednisone, gabapentin and diazepam. It’s honestly made a huge difference. Fingers crossed that she recovers on her own and can stave off surgery, as we’re worried that it would take an insurmountable toll on our already skittish girl.
