Here's something fun! Tonight, I'm teaming up with talbotsofficial to share some "Momtras": little bits of advice that my mother passed along to me. My favorite: When I was in 6th grade, I was insistent that I didn't need math. (Ironic that I would later marry a math teacher, but whatever. 😜) One night, while my tears splashed onto the pages of the textbook and my dad threw up his hands in frustration, I remember Mom taking me aside and whispering, "I know this might sound crazy, but you at least need math to figure out the best sales. For instance, how much is a $49.99 dress if it's 40 percent off? $29.99.
