#ad How many of you live far from family? While we're so, so happy here in Chicago, it's really hard being a plane ride away from my parents and Grammie. I wish so badly that they could just pop over whenever, or that we could have "Parenthood"-style dinners as a family together on the weekends. (That show really messed with me. 😂) The silver lining, though, is that we do get far longer chunks of time with them than we did when we lived in New York! Back then, we'd most often get together for an evening... or maybe a full day or two if we were lucky. Now, though, we get a week-long trip every couple of months, and I'm learning that with two young children, this might actually be a blessing. Emma and Lucy get their grandparents and great-grandmother not just for a few hours, but for a WEEK of quality time. Certainly a silver lining to being so far away!
