We were halfway to the gala with six kids in the backseat, snacks flying, dresses and suits packed for the weekend when my phone rang. “Hey, we’re calling all the Southern California guests to see if anyone knows of a venue that can host 450 people… in two hours.” I laughed at first, thinking it was a joke. It wasn’t. The event was suddenly in jeopardy. Security was being blocked, contracts were being questioned, and everyone was scrambling to make sure the night could even happen. Somehow, through faith, persistence, and a lot of prayer, it did.
