Let me be VERY clear: I never said women should withhold sex in marriage. What I said is no woman should feel PRESSURED postpartum while her body is literally healing from a wound the size of a dinner plate and she’s sustaining a newborn with her body. That is basic human decency. What upsets me is seeing Christian women twist my words and guilt other moms into believing they owe their husband sex while they’re bleeding, breastfeeding, and barely sleeping. That is not biblical marriage. Love is sacrificial. Christ gave His body for the Church. If a husband can’t lay down his own desires for a temporary time to care for his wife and child, that’s immaturity, not godly leadership. Marriage is never perfectly 50/50. Sometimes he gives more, sometimes I do. No one is “ignoring” him. He still has emotional intimacy, partnership, and his wife, who is literally keeping their baby alive.
