I have given birth 5 times (about to be 6) and apparently I have been doing it all wrong 😂
I always thought since I had an epidural the only position I could labor and birth in were on my back. But Dr Ivy at
@empower.physicaltherapy showed me otherwise!
She also taught me how to breath properly while pushing! Hopefully I remember all of it when it’s go time 😂
A lot of this depends on the dosage of the epidural (Dr Ivy suggests getting a low dosage one so you can still feel the urge to push), and what the hospital permits once the epidural is administered. For me I have a catheter so getting off the bed isn’t an option.
I am sure everything varies between each practices so of course talk to your medical team. These videos are merely meant to show other options to open a discussion with your health care provider but never to be taken as medical advice 🤗❤️
From one mom to another, what were some of your favorite birthing and labor positions? (With out without an epidural!)
