If you have had a baby or are about to have a baby, here is what I want you to do. (If you are up for it of course 🤗)
• Talk to your OB or primary doctor about referring you to a pelvic floor therapist or fine a private practice and pay out of pocket (or you can use your HSA. This is the route I took)
• Get your pelvic floor and abdomen checked by a physical therapist
• You should not feel pain during seggs after the healing stage. If you do, please go get your pelvic floor checked.
• Our abs naturally separate to make room for baby while pregnant and sometimes don’t come back together on their own. This is called diastasis recti (DR)
• It’s important to get your abs checked for DR and pelvic floor checked before working out again. I didn’t know about these things after my first three babies and hit the gym hard as soon as I could.
