Dad’s are important. Rick has taken on fatherhood like no one I’ve ever known! He’s literally the best dad ever! Meeting someone that has no children and you already have one can be tricky. You have to make sure they are a safe person to be around your child. When I introduced Rick to Zariyah, there was an immediate attachment and he has never treated her like a “step-daughter” but rather his first daughter! Then after realizing we wouldn’t be able to have any biological children together, this could have literally torn us apart but it made us stronger. Stronger for the 3 additional children God would eventually send into our lives. Rick has been kind, loving, accepting, and caring towards our children’s biological families and always has a word of encouragement.
