I know to some this is not a big deal but it absolutely is a big deal to parents of children who are on the spectrum, have anxiety disorders, pain disorders, sensory processing disorders, physical disabilities, and body autonomy! So earlier today while at the park, enjoying fireflies, Princeton was approached by a little boy who in fact was very sweet. However, he poked Boosie on the leg and said tag you’re it. While I understand children’s innocence, and I know he didn’t mean any harm whatsoever, as adults, we have to teach our children to to ask permission or consent before touching other children. With Boosie having a pain disorder, SPD, and social anxiety in some spaces, unwanted touch from others, even if it’s a kid, can be very overstimulating for him. It’s not fair to my son to have to “deal” with your child not understanding boundaries solely because they are an “innocent child.” Children can be taught boundaries and respecting others at a very early age.Just my opinion 🤷🏽‍♀️...
