It's world adoption day! And I thank God for my children's birth parents for making the selfless decision and choosing my husband and I to be a part of our children's life stories. Is adoption beautiful, YES! Is it messy, YES! But so is life...a beautiful mess. Adoption is not a path my husband andi chose but rather a path that chose us. God makes no mistakes. And I'm so thankful for the children who were placed in my earthly care! With over 400,000 children in foster care and over 100,000 of those children seeking forever families, I hope and pray that more families look at foster-to-adopt as an option. Is it a process, absolutely it is...is it worth it, WITHOUT A DOUBT! We didn't swoop in and adopt to be someone's "savior or heroes"...we just wanted to be mom and dad or Keia and Rick (whatever they desired to call us)...it was literally love at first sight for all my children! I'm just so happy I get to share the role of mommy to 3 amazing adoptees and 1 super loving bio ❤❤❤ . ...
