CIPA is Congenital Sensitivity to Pain... Imagine your child not being able to process pain and not understanding that his aggression can hurt others. Imagine him hurting himself like breaking a bone and you may never know. How can you get someone to understand what pain feels like when they themselves are incapable of feeling physical pain? He's able to feel emotional pain. He's learned by his environment to react to physical pain as he's seen others react...however, it's purely adaptation. It's frustrating but as parents we learn how to best care for our children.
