I'm passed the point of educating people on the dynamics of my family...my son is 4 and he can understand your rude and hateful comments. So now I have to defend him so that he understands I'll always have his back against racist, prejudice, bias, judgmental people that think stereotypes are "funny." They can be hurtful and damaging, especially to a child. SMH. . I have since spoken to the pastor whose invited me in for a meeting to understand all that transpired and how he and his staff can better move forward in the future. I thought that this was very kind of him. I agreed to a meeting but my son will never attend that center. Things like this can take years to dismantle. It's so disheartening and disappointing.
