Foster care, adoption, foster-to-adopt, kinship care...all comes with an emotional rollercoaster that are filled with beautiful highs and frustrating lows. 7/25/21, was one of those beautiful highs! After what seemed like an eternity, we can finally file the paperwork to officially adopt Karleigh! Being her mother over the past 7 years has been one of the best things of my life. Making it official will be the cherry on top! . While we have had legal temporary custody of Karleigh we are glad we get to now make it official!! Adult adoption is a beautiful thing.
