Y'all not really ready for this conversation though 😴...The reason why I'll never let my foot off the gas, is because it's still "weird" for people to accept the fact that a black couple adopted a white child. Isn't that just like America though? Will immediately assume that because we are black we've kidnapped the child rather than adopted him or even babysitting would be more appropriate than adoption. No matter how much we choose to "ignore" it, it doesn't go away. No matter how much we pretend we don't see it, it's still there. The only way to conquer is to confront. I get to choose the narrative of my family, not some keyboard racist. I don't adress this often because there's a lot of love out in the world that I choose to focus on instead.
