My heart is a bit heavy this morning. This blatant racism in the great state of NC, where I raise my black and brown children makes me extremely sad. The state that I and my family call home. The state that I love...Aside from this...yesterday, there was a racist pediatric nurse that works with my sister, in our city, that works at the hospital that our children have gone too, that called black people "animals that deserve to die in the street." Aside from that, there are racist professors in our colleges that I've called on sharing that the black families shouldn't have black fathers because they are "all thugs and deserve to die." My daughter actually had this college on her list, we kindly scratched it off. Aside from that, in my son's own elementary school, K-5 teachers along with multiple teachers in our community being investigated for racist post, slurs, and disgusting behavior! The sad thing is these are POLICE OFFICERS, DOCTORS, EDUCATORS, CAREGIVERS...the one's our children ...
