It would prematurely remove Endangered Species Act protections from gray wolves. This vote follows a recent Trump administration announcement that it would be abandoning wolf recovery nationwide. “Rep. Boebert’s bill is a deadly invitation to trophy hunt wolves to extinction,” said Stephanie Kurose, deputy director of government affairs at the Center for Biological Diversity. “Stripping these amazing animals of protection while they’re still fighting to survive isn’t conservation, it’s cruelty.
